Ah that Marina and her diamonds...loves a tight headshot - wind machine is a must - in her video clips, innit? For Marina and the Diamond's latest single off The Family Jewels, 'Oh No!' her stylist pulled some of those notorious sequinned Castelbajac and Ashish dresses as well as Christopher Kane and some of Henry Holland's paint sample happy AW09 collection for Marina to dance choreographically in. Marina comes up all bubble-gummy-pop-art again, and j'adoooore the lip colours in this one...
And here come the remixes, with three great ones popping up already. For those more dance-ably inclined, Grum does his thing in his not particularly outstanding, but still solid contribution:
Active Child gets far more interesting opening with dark dark, stumbling elements in this slowed down remix, before it gets all swoopy and synthy:
But the star and my favourite so far is most definitely by newcomer David's Lyre, with his excellently rendered and deftly layered guitar driven remix. Brilliant.
